Menashe Kadishman (1932-2015)

Menashe Kadishman was born in 1932 in Tel Aviv. His first encounter with printmaking was during his art studies in the United Kingdom. From the first half on the 1950s onward, he used print extensively in order to expand the significance of his sculptures. He used photo-etching, screenprinting and lithography. From the 2000s on he used this medium less. The drawn-like prints from this period were created using cauterizing lines. His works can be found in numerous museum collections around the world, as well as many private collections.
