Sidon Rotenberg (1937-2018)

Sidon Rothenberg was born in 1937 on Kibbutz Merhavia. In 1964 he travelled to France to study etching. After returning to Israel in 1967 he moved to Jerusalem. In 1974 he joined the Jerusalem Print Workshop team and worked as a printer of etchings until his retirement in 2016. Most of his prints were etches. His works deal with traditional issues like portraits and still life, distinguished by an expressive use of acquaint.
