Dov Heller (1937-2018)

Dov Heller was born in 1937 in Bucharest, Romania. During World War II he remained with relatives while his parents immigrated to Eretz Israel. He joined them in 1949. This event recurs in his later works. In 1955 he joined Kibbutz Nirim. Though he worked in print all through his artistic years, in the 1990s this medium became central for him. In 1997 Heller founded in the old cowshed of the kibbutz the Wolfgang Meyer Etching Workshop.
