Retrospective exhibition and a Book of Moshe Gershuni’s body of work.
The New Book Moshe Gershuni : Prints 1979-2014, Was written by Dr, Gideon Ofrat and designed by Magen and Adam Halutz. It covers the artist’s full body of work in the Printmaking media, throughout 35 years, in which Gershuni worked at Print workshops in Israel and abroad. Included in the book are essays written by Ruti Direktor, Dror Burstein and Irena Gordon.
In honor of the publishing of this book, The Jerusalem Print Workshop will present a retrospective exhibition, showing a selection of works by Gershuni from various Print workshops that he created in ( Jerusalem Print Workshop, Harel Printers and Publishers, Jacob Samuel’s Workshop, The Burston Graphic Centre, Givat Haviva Print Workshop, Bezalel Art Academy Print Workshop.) The exhibition will cover the 2 galleries of the Jerusalem Workshop.
Moshe Gershuni (1932 – 2017) was born in Tel Aviv and grew up in Herzliya. From the 1980’s, printmaking became the dominant media in his work. He created over 250 series of prints and Artist’s Books in silk screen prints, lithography and etching. Over the years he had 12 solo exhibitions of prints and participated in many group exhibitions.
