New Works
The exhibition New Works presents prints by nine artists who were invited to work at the Jerusalem Print Workshop in recent years. It is part of the Workshop’s fiftieth anniversary celebrations. Ordinarily, the Workshop unveils new works every two years; however, the events of the past years – the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing war – delayed the presentation of the new prints, some of which were created even before the pandemic began. The artists are given the opportunity to work with all the classical printmaking techniques: etching, lithography, screen printing, and woodcut – providing them with a variety of tools and rich modes of expression. Each print in the exhibition bears the artist’s personal signature, reflecting his or her unique journey and visual language. The breadth of technical and artistic choices highlights the diversity and vitality of contemporary graphic art.
